Black & Asian Leaders: An Honest Dialogue

There has been a rise in harassment and hate crimes towards Asian and Pacific Islanders worldwide since the start of the covid-19 pandemic. The racialization of the covid-19 virus has placed the API community and, in particular, the elderly population at risk of experiencing violence. People of multiple racial identities have expressed these acts of hatred. However, the recent cases in San Francisco, Oakland, and New York have escalated tensions between API and Black communities. Can we acknowledge both the history of solidarity as well as tension between our communities and come to a place of unification in the anti-racism movement?

Join Cheryl Leong & Chris Lin as they host this panel featuring leaders who want to engage in an honest dialogue about these racial tensions and find ways to be better allies to each other.
