There has been a rise in harassment and hate crimes towards Asian and Pacific Islanders worldwide since the start of the covid-19 pandemic. The racialization of the covid-19 virus has placed the API community and, in particular, the elderly population at risk of experiencing violence. People of multiple racial identities have expressed these acts of hatred. As society becomes more aware of this issue, it is the responsibility of organizations to support their employees within the API community.
